ChanPoker Closes – Aced.com opens

Many people have been asking me to update the blog with more information about the closing of

Chanpoker.com, and the opening of the new poker room Aced.com. I have been meaning to get to it, but have been moving the last couple days so was unable to. I am finally set up in my new place, so here we go.

As most already know, Chanpoker has been closed down. The reason for this must stay in house for right now, but let me clarify some of the situation.

We did not have any issues with Ongame. They actually found out about our closure only a day before we announced it. So all rumors that ChanPoker was in trouble with Ongame are completely false.

No players or affiliates will lose any money. All players will be able to withdraw their funds, as will Affiliates. I would never let the players or affiliates that I brought in and managed to lose a penny of their hard earned money.

ChanPoker did not run out of money. We were actually doing very well, it would have been nice to see my hard work pay off over the long run but that’s business.

I am close to finding a home for all players and affiliates, I should have an announcement early next week. Player information will be transferred over, as will the affiliates. The only issue is balances will not be transferred, so players will have to redeposit at the new home. Affiliate stats and balances will transfer over as well.

If anyone has anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Now on to the exciting news.

I have take a position as a Poker Room Consultant for Aced Poker. I will also be an Affiliate Consultant for them as well. Aced.com will be live in the next couple days. Aced will be on the Merge Network which I am very excited about. Merge has recently released a new software update that improved their already great poker software. If you are looking to play poker online, Aced is the place to go! It really is one of the best in our industry. As for the Aced client, it was finished last night and is in testing. I got to see it last night, and really love it. Since I was pushing for a quick launch, we will have be adding more to it down the road to spice it up a bit, but it still looks great now.

If you have any questions on Aced, once again feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with all of you.

Will Aced be accepting players from the US? Is Chan involved in this site? And will you be sending Chans old players to Aced? Just wondering??
